MINISTRY POSITIONS AT NORWEST
Check out the vacancies below:
Norwest Presbyterian Churches (Auckland)
Norwest Presbyterian Churches (NPC) is a cluster of evangelically-minded churches, with its largest and most multi-cultural church at Massey/Westgate. We are looking to strengthen our current ministry staff team with one or more ministry people, either part-time or perhaps full-time. These roles will primarily be at the Massey church, but may also be combined in some ways with work in a new church plant. We are open to both ordained ministers (Presbyterian or otherwise) and to non-ordained people with appropriate giftedness, training and experience.
Overlapping areas where we need to strengthen our team include an assistant/associate pastor role at Massey (possibly with potential for a future senior pastor role), youth and young adult ministries, pastoral care, evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and ministries among particular cultures. Because of the possibility of some applicants combining roles, we have listed our needs rather than specific positions.
All applicants must have a deep personal faith, be Gospel-focused, be faithfully biblical, be people of prayer and a strong spiritual life, have good inter-personal skills, be able to gather and inspire people, be team players, be good communicators, be able to teach the faith, be able to lead people to faith, be able to innovate, have other appropriate leadership and ministry giftings, and feel a strong call of God to work in the NPC context. Applicants from overseas must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
To send an expression of interest, or submit an application, please email our senior minister, Rev Dr Stuart Lange (stuart.m.lange@gmail.com)
Church Planter – Waimauku
Could you lead a church re-start? Norwest Presbyterian Church (norwest.org.nz) in the growing north-west of Auckland is seeking someone with the right giftings to lead a re-start of a church at Waimauku. We are looking for someone who is Gospel-minded, warmly relational (able to connect with people of all ages and cultures), forward-looking, proactive, energetic, a good communicator, a team player, and able to help plant and grow a healthy church fellowship. There is an historic church building (St Martins), an ancillary building, and a more modern additional building envisaged. The appointee will work closely with the ministry staff team of the multi-site Norwest Presbyterian Churches, which the Waimauku church is now a part of, and in keeping with its ethos. The role is up to half-time (20 hours per week). There is a possibility that this role may be able to be combined with other ministry positions within Norwest Churches. Expressions of interest (and applications) to Rev Dr Stuart Lange, stuart.m.lange@gmail.com
